Attorney Thomas R. Gerte is a trial lawyer that currently practices exclusively in the field of personal injury law. The values of integrity, hard-work, and service to others have shaped his life from his childhood when he participated in the Boy Scouts of America, eventually earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
Thomas began his professional life upon graduation from the University of Maine as a civil engineer inspecting bridge and road construction, most notably on the Q-Bridge Program in New Haven, CT. He attended Quinnipiac University School of Law in the evening and found a passion for advocating for the rights of others. Upon admittance to the Connecticut Bar, Thomas began his legal career petitioning for a writ of habeas corpus for convicted individuals through claims of actual innocence, ineffective assistance of counsel, and due process violations. At The Flood Law Firm, Thomas seeks solutions and remedies for his clients by ensuring that the legal system works for the injured party instead of the bigger player.
In his time outside of work, Thomas maintains connections with his family and friends, is a sports fan, and is an outdoorsman.
