Attorney Christopher J. Flood is a skilled trial attorney that has dedicated his entire legal career to helping accident victims recover the compensation they deserve. Chris was inspired by his family to become a lawyer who helps people – not corporations. As a trial lawyer, he makes large corporations and insurance companies pay for the harm suffered by his clients.
Chris only represents injured people and has never represented the interests of an insurance company. He is devoted to making insurance companies compensate his clients fairly. He knows that his history in the court room is often what forces insurance companies to settle rather than risking a trial.
Before opening The Flood Law Firm, Chris practiced personal injury law with several top litigation firms throughout the state, where he successfully settled and tried to verdict thousands of cases on behalf of injured people. In 2012, Chris and his brother, Brian M. Flood, opened The Flood Law Firm. Chris and Brian share the commitment to stand up to insurance companies on behalf of people who need help.
Since opening The Flood Law Firm, Chris has been recognized for his accomplishments. Each year from 2009 through 2013, he was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine. In 2014, Chris was named a “Super Lawyer”, and has been designated a “Super Lawyer” every year since. These honors are given to less than five percent of attorneys in the state. Chris was also honored with the National Trial Lawyers Association ‘Top 40 Under 40′ award for 2012, 2013 and 2014. This exclusive award considers candidates from across the entire country. In 2014, he was inducted into the Connecticut Personal Injury Hall of Fame by the Connecticut Law Tribune.
Chris was born and raised in Portland, Connecticut, and he lives in South Glastonbury with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. Chris is a current board member and past president of the Portland Exchange Club. He served for many years on the Portland Inland Wetlands Commission.
